Irricana Recreation Complex
This is a public building that is not currently barrier-free accessible. Therefore, this building addition incorporates a new main entrance with elevator access, a handi-bus drop-off zone, an exterior concrete surface as well as parking stalls designed for persons with disabilities. Substantial interior renovations have been incorporated into the project both for barrier-free requirements but also to improve the functionality of the spaces.
This building complex contains a curling arena, a public library, a yoga studio, large meeting room, curling viewing area, concession and café. On the second floor the assembly hall has been reconfigured and expanded to allow for multiple uses. This space also has fantastic site lines and views to the curling arena below.
