Elbow Park Modern Infill
This house is situated on a lane-less parcel. A front driveway provides access to a side entry garage so that the garage door does not dominate the streetscape. The angled entrance originated from the internal flow of circulation but rises up to create a centre block between the two storey portion of the house and the single storey living room area. The scale of the house fits in nicely with it’s neighbours.
The house was designed for a family of five with four bedrooms on the second floor and an additional 2 bedrooms in the basement. The kitchen, family room and dining area are essentially one large open space and are the “hub” of the home. A formal living room provides an elegant view upon entering the house with it’s fireplace and vaulted ceiling. It is also the only room with expansive views to both the front and rear yards of the house.
